The focus group will be facilitated by an independent consultant. The session will run in person for 1.5 hours on Tuesday 3 March 2026 at Council Civic Centre, 379-399 Whitehorse Rd, Nunawading.

An agenda will be issued to focus group participants on Monday 2 March 2026. You will not be required to do any work before or after the focus groups.

Please note: registering your interest does not guarantee a place in the focus group.

Who can participate

  • 10–15 community members
  • A mix of ages, genders, local residents, and current or potential park users
  • User groups based at Walker Park may nominate up to two representatives
  • Participants will be selected at random if demand is high

What to expect

  • This focus group is one way Council is seeking feedback.
  • While Council cannot make decisions at the session, feedback will help inform future planning.

Purpose of the focus group

The session will:

  • Bring community members together to share perspectives
  • Present feedback from Round 1 of community engagement
  • Explain the recommendations for Walker Park that informed the draft concept plan
  • Share what Council is hearing so far from Round 2 engagement
  • Invite participants to share their ideas based on all of this information

This focus group provides feedback to inform Council recommendations. No decisions will be made on the night.
