We love our animals in Whitehorse!
We’re inviting you to lend a paw in updating our Domestic Animal Management Plan. The plan serves as a guide to manage cats and dogs across Whitehorse.
Every 4 years, Councils across Victoria are required to update their plan under the Domestic Animals Act 1994.
This is our chance to make sure we’re on track to improve how we manage pets, support responsible pet ownership, and maintain safe, clean spaces for everyone in the community.
The plan also ensures we continue to balance the needs of pets with the protection of our local wildlife and natural environments.
Whether you own a pet or not, responsible pet ownership affects everyone. We encourage everyone to get involved and help shape a plan that benefits the whole community.
