What are you doing with AI at work? If you've used AI to save time, solve a problem, build something or make your work better we want to know about it.

"What I Did With AI" is Victoian local government's peer showcase. Submit your story, get shortlisted and win prizes at the July AI Enablement LGPro SIG event hosted at Google HQ.

The best part? You can use AI to write your submission. Check the FAQs to find out how.

No limit on submissions. The more you share, the better the showcase for everyone.

This is for individual and team use of AI. Not enterprise solutions or vendor projects.

If you've used AI in any of these ways, we want to hear about it:

Write a document, guide, email or report
Find information buried across documents or data
Explain something complex in a way that actually lands
Build a tool, workflow or prototype
Automate something repetitive
Analyse data, feedback or documents at scale
Learn something new or upskill faster
Communicate using video, audio, imagery or translation

Personal life use cases are welcome too. Submit as many as you like. There's no limit.

Before you start, have these ready:

The problem you were trying to solve, what you did, what tool you used and how long it saved you
A landscape screenshot or short video of your work in action

That's it. And if you use our AI submission guide, Copilot will walk you through the whole thing and write it up for you.

We've built a submission guide that turns Microsoft Copilot Chat into a personal interviewer. Answer a few questions and it writes up your submission for you ready to paste straight into this form.

The SIG convening team reviews all entries and shortlists the strongest ones.

On 31 July at Google HQ in Melbourne, shortlisted entries go up on the big screen in front of 100+ AI Enabelemnt SIG members. The whole room votes live. Winners are announced on the day and receive prizes.

Every submission (shortlisted or not) goes into the sector-wide showcase deck that every council takes home.

Two groups.

The SIG convening team shortlists the strongest entries before the event. They're looking for use cases that are useful, inspiring, creative or impressive at any level of complexity.

Then the room decides. The 100+ SIG members at the July event vote live on the shortlisted entries.

There are over $1500 of prizes up for grabs for the winning entries voted on by the room at the July event.

Every submission goes into the What I Did With AI showcase deck. A sector-wide collection of real AI use cases from Victorian councils.

Take it back to your council. Share it with your team. Present it to your leadership. Use it to run your own AI inspiration session.

The more people submit, the richer the resource becomes for everyone. Your submission could be exactly what someone else needed to finally give AI a go.

The live vote takes place at the LGPro AI Enablement SIG meeting on 31 July 2026 at Google HQ.
