What are the objectives of the draft Strategic Partnerships Framework?

    • Strategically support Council’s investment into indoor sports projects that provide community use.
    • The framework provides a consistent approach for decision making in prioritising capital investment for indoor sports projects involving external partners.
    • Assist Council in the assessment of project options that target priority areas for development that ensure community access as identified in the ISFFS.
    • Consider Council’s Asset Renewal program when opportunities arise for indoor sport facilities that provide community use.
    • The principles reflect partnership contributions or equivalent assistance Council should consider with external partners.

What sort of partnerships will Council consider?

Council will consider partnerships and indoor sport projects that provide increased community access to indoor sport facilities and additionally address the priorities identified in the Indoor Sports Facility Feasibility Study.

When can I submit my project idea?

During Stage 2, to commence October 2021, we will invite further discussion on project ideas.

What if I have a project idea but don’t own the land?

We welcome ideas from everyone in the community and will align these ideas with the recommendations in the Indoor Sports Facility Feasibility Study, and finalised Strategic Partnerships Framework.

Will the community be consulted over major project ideas?

Council is committed to providing the community with opportunities to help feed into and shape projects, strategies, services and decisions that may affect you.
