Creating a safer Whitehorse
We all deserve to feel safe in our home, neighbourhood and public spaces. Whitehorse City Council is committed to building a safe, vibrant community, and is developing a new Whitehorse Community Safety Plan.
Whitehorse City Council is eager to hear your thoughts, feelings and experiences on how safe you feel, what is working well, and where improvements could be made.
Your feedback is a vital part of our planning for the future and will help us make decisions to ensure our new Whitehorse Community Safety Plan reflects the lived experiences of our residents, traders and visitors.
Community safety is about creating an environment where people feel secure, connected, and supported in their daily lives, while also promoting wellbeing, designing safe and welcoming public spaces, encouraging care for one another, and making it easier for everyone to contribute to community life. With the right measures in place, Council can help build a community that is safer, more inclusive, and more resilient for everyone.
How to get involved:
- Share your thoughts via the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Survey and you can go into the draw to win one of 3 $50 Coles/Myer gift vouchers (optional). This survey will take approximately 7 minutes to complete, and your answers are anonymous. Your data will be handled in accordance with Whitehorse City Council's privacy policy.
