Proposal to sell 2 properties

In August 2025, Council adopted the Strategic Property Framework, which provides a consistent process for making decisions about acquisitions, disposals and developments. The Framework requires community engagement before any decision is made.

Two Council-owned sites have now reached the stage where selling the properties is recommended as the most appropriate next step. Each has been assessed under the Framework and found to be no longer required for Council's service delivery needs. Selling the sites would enable Council to release value from surplus assets and reinvest in other community projects.

Council is now seeking community feedback on the proposal to sell the properties and any impacts that should be considered before a final decision is made. This process also meets Council’s statutory obligations contained in Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 and Council’s Community Engagement Policy.
