Exciting improvements are on the way for Mont Albert Reserve, and we’d love your input!

Mont Albert Reserve is located on Braemar Street in Mont Albert North.

Thanks to generous Victorian Government funding secured by the Mont Albert Cricket Club and Surrey Park Lacrosse Club, we’re expanding and upgrading the current decking to make it safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable for everyone who uses the space.

What’s planned:

  • The existing deck will be extended by 2 metres towards the oval, creating a larger and more functional space.
  • The current bench seating facing the oval will be replaced with a cascading design that includes new bench seating and a surrounding paved pathway.
  • To enhance accessibility and safety, slip-resistant nosing will be placed along the top tiered seats, and new steps with handrails will be installed at both ends of the deck, complementing the existing ramps.
  • Materials will be carefully selected to match the existing decking and pavilion façade, ensuring a seamless and high-quality finish.
  • All works will meet Australian Building Standards and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliance requirements.

This project is in partnership with the Victorian Government.
