Mirrabooka Reserve Pavilion Redevelopment

Consultation has concluded

Feedback closed on Monday 6 May 2024.

The pavilion is set to undergo a $7 million redevelopment that is proposed to include:

  • Unisex changerooms
  • Umpire rooms
  • Accessibility amenities
  • First aid room
  • Community meeting room
  • Social / multipurpose room
  • Kitchen
  • Storage areas

The project would allow for more sporting and community use of both the pavilion and the wider reserve. It would help increase women’s participation in sport as the current changerooms don’t satisfy this need. The community would also be able to use the pavilion for events, group meetings and more.

The $7 million redevelopment is being funded with $2 million from the Commonwealth Government, $3 million from the Victorian Government and $2 million from Council. Funding for the redevelopment was successfully advocated for by the sporting clubs.

Works are expected to start late 2025 and be completed by the end of 2026. A temporary facility will be installed mid-2024 for sporting clubs to use while construction is underway.
