Halligan Park is located at 25 Tyne Street, Box Hill North. In September 2025, we asked the community to share their ideas to help shape the upgrade of the play space at Halligan Park. We received 41 survey responses during this first stage of engagement.

The feedback showed that some of the most loved features of the current playground are the junior and adult swings, slide, crawl tunnel, and a combination play unit. Many people told us they would like to see these popular elements included in the new design.

When it came to new play equipment, the most popular ideas to include were a tube slide, track ride, rock climbing wall, and monkey bars.

The community also shared ideas for additional features like a half basketball court, adult fitness equipment, a fenced playground, and a shelter. These could not be included due to the project scope and budget.

Please note: this is a concept plan only and may be subject to change. It is proposed that this will be built by the end of June 2026, weather permitting.
