Whitehorse City Council provides grants to a wide range of local groups in the community to support initiatives that build social connections, promote wellbeing and encourage healthy lifestyles. Council is committed to providing this funding efficiently, equitable and ethically.

What is the Whitehorse Community Grants Policy?

The Whitehorse Community Grants Policy sets the framework for how we deliver this financial support to community organisations through the Community Grants Program.

Whitehorse City Council is reviewing its Community Grants Policy —last updated in 2022— to ensure it is effectively guiding equitable, transparent and strategic funding decisions aligned with Council priorities.

Your feedback will be used to shape the Draft Community Grants Policy 2025. The Draft Policy will be presented to you again later in the year for further feedback.

Register your interest in participating in a focus group that will explore key areas of the Draft Policy. Focus group topics are separate to the survey questions and will be decided following the initial consultation. Expressions of Interest close on Friday 25 July.

How to get involved:

• Read the Community Grants Policy, specifically Sections 1, 5 and 6 (7 pages in total).
• Provide your feedback on the survey. This will take approximately 7 minutes to complete, and your answers are anonymous. Your data will be handled in accordance with Whitehorse City Council's privacy policy.
• Register your interest in attending a focus groups (optional).

• Send an email to grants@whitehorse.vic.gov.au to provide your feedback or request a call from one of our Officers.
• Collect a hardcopy of the survey from the Customer Service desk at the Civic Centre.
• Further ways to have your say, both in-person and online, will be announced later in the year.
