Help shape the future of Charles Rooks Reserve
Charles Rooks Reserve in Nunawading is getting an upgrade and we want your input.
Following 2 rounds of community consultation, the Charles Rooks and Dagola Reserve Landscape Concept Plan was developed and endorsed in 2025.
As part of this plan, we’re excited to be delivering a range of improvements to the reserve. We’re now seeking community feedback on three specific elements of the planned improvements, including:
- a renewed play space
- installation of new fitness equipment
- the colours for a new multi-purpose half-court
Your feedback will help shape the draft designs for the play space and fitness equipment, to ensure Charles Rooks Reserve continues to be a place everyone can enjoy.
The current play equipment is reaching the end of its useful life and is due for replacement, which was identified under the endorsed Landscape Concept Plan.
A single, well-designed play space will improve accessibility and offer a variety of play opportunities for all ages and abilities.
The upgrade of Charles Rooks will incorporate BBQ facilities, drinking fountain, seating and landscaping as well as a multi-purpose court, the play space and fitness equipment. This is all subject to approved future budgets.
Installing outdoor fitness equipment will provide recreational opportunities for physical and mental well-being, supporting a healthy and active community.
How to get involved:
