Have your Say on the Bungalook Nursery proposed upgrade
Bungalook Nursery has proudly supported Whitehorse for nearly 40 years supplying an ever-growing range of indigenous plants to local reserves and the community.
The nursery moved to its current location in 2001 and due to demand, has now outgrown the space. The nursery is run by approximately 50 volunteers who play an active role in its daily operations. For more than 40 years, the nursery has supplied indigenous plants to community members and as part of Council programs. It has also provided plants for local environmental groups such as KooyongKoot Alliance and many bushland reserves, helping to enhance and restore Whitehorse's natural environment.
This proposal aims to expand and improve the nursery's space, so it can continue supporting the community now and into the future.
Timeframes are indicative and may be subject to change as the project progresses. We will keep the community informed of any updates.
What does the proposed upgrade include?
- installing a larger, purpose-built building, to improve nursery operations, for plant production, sales and storage
