Built Environment Showcase 2024

The Built Environment Showcase Event celebrates great design and creative thinking in the Whitehorse. Good design creates engaging and innovative places that are loved and valued by the people who use them.

It’s time to nominate your favourite building, design or renovation in Whitehorse!

Nominations can be made by residents, business and property owners, designers, developers and builders associated with the project. It can be a building you live in, own, have designed, built or one found in the neighbourhood, that would benefit from recognition for its good design features.

Nominate a project today and help celebrate exceptional, sustainable design in the City of Whitehorse.

Consider nominating builds that embrace our Environmentally Sustainable Design Principles, such as water reuse, smart energy solutions, recycling or repurposing of materials and more! The project can be a new build or renovation in the following areas:

  • Residential (single home or multi residential)
  • Heritage
  • Institutional (education, healthcare)
  • Commercial (retail, offices)
  • Landscape (park, plaza, residential garden)

  • If you are nominating a project you admire but are not directly involved with, you will only need to enter the address and any photos if you have them.

    If you are connected to the project, you will be required to submit the following information to complete your Built Environment Showcase nomination:

    • Address of project
    • Completion date of project
    • Names and contact details for relevant project members (ie. designers, builders, landscapers etc.)
    • Scope of project (including design intent and objectives)
    • Description of why the project should be featured in the Built Environment Showcase, addressing:
      - function and design
      - innovation and sustainability features
      - how the project makes a positive contribution to local neighbourhood character
    • Project plans
    • Project images (max of 6 images)
