What is Amendment C241whse?

Whitehorse is expanding and growing quickly. In order to cater for our growing community, we need to expand our network of public infrastructure including parks, play spaces, ovals, sports pavilions and other assets. One way to help fund these projects could be by collecting contributions from new developments being built within Whitehorse.

You’re invited to have your say on a proposal for Council to collect contributions from new developments to help fund infrastructure projects for our growing community.

The Whitehorse Development Contributions Plan (DCP) identifies some of the infrastructure projects Council will deliver during the next 20 years, and shows the associated levies that would be imposed on new developments towards funding those projects.

The proposed DCP would apply to all land in Whitehorse. Certain types of development would be exempt. For details of all exemptions, refer to Clause 4.0 of the proposed DCP01 via Amendment C241whse webpage.

In order to formally use the DCP, an amendment to the Planning Scheme is required.

Amendment C241whse to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme (Planning Scheme) proposes to implement the DCP.

The Amendment C241whse proposes to introduce a new Schedule 1 to the Development Contributions Plan Overlay (DCPO1) in Clause 45.06 and include the Whitehorse DCP as an Incorporated Document into the Planning Scheme.

More information on the Whitehorse DCP and Amendment C241whse can be viewed on Council's Amendment C241whse webpage.
