Whitehorse City Council is seeking nominations for our second intake of the Women in Sport Leadership Program. The program is designed specifically for grassroots community leaders who are passionate about making a difference. This program is part of our ongoing commitment to encouraging inclusive, diverse leadership across all levels of community involvement whether within a sports club or a recreational group. We recognise the unique challenges that women often face in leadership roles, particularly within grassroots organisations, and we are determined to provide the support, resources, and opportunities needed to help them thrive.
The program aims to equip women with the skills, confidence, and networks necessary to lead and inspire others in their communities. By offering this platform, Council is seeking to empower emerging female leaders, enabling them to take on more prominent roles, influence positive change, and build stronger, more resilient communities. This initiative is not just about individual growth—it's about creating a ripple effect where empowered women can inspire the next generation of leaders and contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of their organisations.
